Positive Attitude = Win at Trading ?

What kind of lunatic wakes up one morning and says I'm going to throw all my money into the markets and lose it?

You'd be surprised. There is a lot of research into gambling addiction that suggests the addict always expects to lose when they bet/trade. So why do they do it? Research suggests that they can only feel euphoria or excitement when they lose. Winning ceases to make them feel anything, and only losing allows them to "feel" real emotions. Therefore, on a subconcious level they actually want to lose. Therefore, they still gamble.

Never underestimate the power of the human psyche to absolutely ruin any chance you had of success.

Thats really interesting. So, like when people lose, the emotions they feel - Although bad, somehow make people feel 'alive' if they want and people then seek to feel these emotions again?

positive attitude is fine but its only one piece

positive attitude + motivation + education + plan of action + recording feedback and improving = success
