Poll Shows Conservatives Outnumber Liberals In Almost Every State

Self-described conservatives outnumber liberals in virtually every state in the U.S., according to the results of a poll released on Friday.The results, which are based on Gallup daily tracking polls for the first half of 2009, including interviews with at least 400 people in every state, found that conservatives outnumber liberals by a statistically significant margin in 47 states.
In Hawaii, Vermont, and Massachusetts, conservatives and liberals are statistically tied, and only in Washington, D.C. do self-described liberals significantly outnumber conservatives.
