I was googling around today looking for brokerages that supported API's that include order execution and realtime streaming data when I happened upon this forum.
We produce Personal Stock Monitor GOLD http://www.personalstockmonitor.com and are looking to add support for brokerages beyond TD AMERITRADE.
I'm currently looking at Interactive Brokers and OptionsXpress. Any suggestions of other brokerages we should approach?
Personal Stock Monitor does have a scripting API that allows you to create your own indicators and extensions. The object model can also be accessed from external applications via a COM interface, which makes it really easy to use from Excel or OpenOffice Calc, et al. The API doesn't support executing trade order at this time, though.
