We hold a sizeable position in Peoplesoft.

We just can't decide whether or not Oracle will succeed in its takeover. A difficult one to call!

What are the chances of them succeeding?

Well, it might be like any other merger: initial over-excitement, followed by a nice settling. In the software industry, its hard to tell. Sometimes software companies will merge to fill gaps in their product offering. The result can be industry dominance.....for a while anyway.

Of course, ORCL has been fairly steady, pretty much staying between $10 and $14 since October of '02
