Jay, I dabble not supposed to really but I do .... whilst I'm waiting for my longer term (and often more reliable) set ups to mature.... I get terribly bored waiting and don't like "gambling" so I've dug out some potential breakouts which are likely to give me some short term action...
My chosen methodology is out of favour big name stox. Uk I'm looking at Azn, Cne, Yell and a few very sick retailers e.g Deb, Dsgi Wlw, Hmv .... Recent Winners have been Tate, Bgy & Drx but they took ages to mature ...........
Low spreads are a good idea and you might want to have a look at Vodafone which seems interesting.... But I could easily choose LloydsTsb which could be ready to blow soon. In fact banks in general are looking interesting .. e.g Barclays & Royal Bank.
