Over 100,000 members??

I do have to ask.....

T2W say they have over 100,000 members........How many were actually Active on this site in the last year?.....just having a read not posting.

I think if they opened up the forums so people did not have to sign up just to see the content, the member list would be greatly reduced.

I am interested to see how many people have been active on the site though, just out of interest. The content on here has helped me, although you always get an idiot or 2 on here.

So if anyone could answer this question that would be great.

Personally I think they're shooting themselves in the the foot with the mandatory registration. I'd go so far as to say it's ****ing stupid, actually.

Interesting point but does it matter?

People can read the posts without signing up.
There are also some with multiple niks but still this site is huge. There are a few idiots, granted, but some post some very good material on here along with some great funny post's to make the day go swimmingly when the markets are not.

On the bottom of the site you can see that on a daily basis around 150 members here and several hundred guests.

Also, dont forget that the site owner gets paid for people to view and/or click on the adverts displayed, so the more sign up the more potential it has as advertising revenue. This of course is what helps to keep this great forum free to all.

I've no idea on how many active members there are, but find that most forums only have a low percentage of active members. Why worry about the numbers, as long as the forum is helping you as you say. Certainly a lot of advice on this site has helped me and I thank the experienced traders on here for passing on their knowledge and advice to us all. I thank you.

I also don't care how many members there are, although the directory tool is useless. Trying to find individual posters amongst 100k users is a pain, especially with 95'000 of them never post.
