Watching it right now. Wondering how the 2012 ceremony is going to compare. My prediction is beefeaters riding around in a routemaster and the Queen giving a speech. Ideally It'd be more flamboyant but we left didn't start working on anything until the night before and it's all we could get on such short notice.

The olympics are an absolute disgrace.

X billion $ for a 16 day event, that leaves the local tax payers in debt for many years afterwards.
