hi everyone

im looking to get historical data for all the major pairs.

im using fxcm and im trying alpari via demo. both of which go to 1991.

ideally im looking to get data that goes further back. (the further the better).
reason for this im in the process of back testing so the more data the better.

:)

ForexTester has free 1-minute data from 2001

If you only need 1-hour you can get data from FXHistoricalData dot com

Tick data: TrueFX dot com

i need daily ohlc going back a few decades.

thanks for the links ill check 'em out!

In that case check out Trading Blox dot com. I know it isn't much help, but they have data for AUDJPY and AUDUSD from 1986. Data starts from 1991 for their other instruments.

Pi Trading dot com used to offer free data samples, but they've removed it from their website. You might find it on another site. Forex data starts from 1971!

FXHistoricalData also supply EOD, but only from 2001.

historical data for any pair is good enough so thanks for that.

ill have a look through the websites and see what i can find, ill post a few links for any else interested :)

I found the Pi Trading data on Archive dot org - type in the homepage (pitrading dot com). When the site loads, click on Resources, then click on Free Market Data. The files are downloadable as zip.
