Note to self - Save the 'kin workspaces

So - today I was set up - did my pre- market research - 30 stocks with the main 12 on my first screen.

As I recall ROVI, ITMN, AVAV

10am approaching, 2 trades in ROVE done & dusted but a bit of an economic announcement coming out, so all flat until after the announcement. Over to T2W for some lulz, drag the i.e window across to the 1 monitor (using USB to DVI) that hates internet explorer & BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

PC crashes.

Blue Screen
Hadn't saved the workspaces in Tradestation.
Lost the list of stocks to trade.
Couldn't remember what I'd put in & what I hadn't.
Opened up TS with yesterdays list mocking me.
That killed me for the day, one more tiddly trade on ROVI as I couldn't remember any of the others & then I went to the fridge for a cool one.

Next time - save the workspaces before the open...

You are just asking for it by using dodgy brothers trinkets to set up multiple monitors. Use proper graphics cards.

The device driver for this sort of thing is bound to be complicated and not nearly as well tested as drivers for say NVidia or ATI cards.

come on out Mr Rothschild - it promises to be warmer than the Northerly clime you find yourself in for at least the next few weeks.

Depends on the craft Rothschild - they have some rather old planes but if you get a newer one it'll be a delight.

Not sure if they are flying the new airbus to the UK but to the US - it's like being in a limo. Plus they have prettier hostesses and gayer hosts in Business Class - no first class on that route.

Anyway - if it's first you are after - BA is better, just for their first class lounges..

Actually - this is tried tested tech - on Windows XP Pro !!

It's only when I moved to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit that various things started blue screening on me.

So there !!
