After getting caught by surprise a few times a while back around news announcements I now always look at the Forexfactory diary in fact I keep the page open all day and see what relavent news is due, taking more notice of the red, high impact ones.
Today seemed like a quiet day, a few medium impact for the Eur, Cad and USA around 08:30.
Newbie question, things really caught me by surprise today about 1:30pm and I don't know why. Yes the US markets were waking up but the effect was much greater than usual.
Can anyone enlighten me please?
