Newb question on direct Access Broker

Hi to all

Firstly apoligies if this question has been answered previousley on the forum....which im sure at some point it has.

Can anyone reccomend a direct access Level 2 broker that will allow me to trade US equities, primarily NASDAQ from the UK

I have tried a few of the larger names such as e-trade, Ameritrade but they dont seem to offer there servces to uk based customers

Also, is it only on direct access that you pay a commision on the profit
