New to metastock 9.0 pro

Hi all, how are you? I was recently given a copy of Metastock 9.0 pro. I have been looking for a straight forward explanation on how to use the software for end of day trading, but, thank God have found this sight. It's a start. I really need help understanding the jist of it. I've watched the introductory videos, but they don't explain to me what I'm looking for. I want to get a data feed and run tests that lead me to buy/ sell signals. That's it. Help me help myself. I have 20,000 in an IRA and honestly believe that I can do a heck of alot better doing for myself. any direction???
