New Indicator - Put/Call Ratio (PCR)

Hello All,

While recently reading some literature on Trading Strategies, I came
across an indicator known as the "Put/Call Ratio" (PCR), which
apparently is also sometimes referred to as the "Put/Call Premium
Ratio".

Unfortunately, as there was no real information about it, I was
wondering whether anyone on here has heard of it? If so, can you
confirm how it works, whether it would be useful for trading Stocks,
and finally whether there is something which can be used in Metastock.

Hi Chorlton,

Well, I’m not a Metastock person but I typed “Metastock Market Breadth” into Google and the first result it return gave me this: http://www.equis.com/products/thirdparty/?3PC-ADD-GMBI - which looks pretty helpful to me?

If you take the free (money back) 30 day trial you should be able to work out if these indicators are helpful to you. I’ve no reason to suppose that these indicators don’t work on data from any exchange, market sector or watchlist – I’d be massively surprised if they didn’t - and so you should be to use them to help you to trade UK stocks.
