One, I wish i was your brother and secondly surely a citibank trader would have his own systems and wouldn't need a neural network software..

lol ..it depends on how you see relationships ...I see cynicism born out of logical skepticism here....It looks like I'll have to explain myself


I live in UK and He lives in India and was a discretionary trader ...Yes, the banks have their own systems which is quite obvious.They usually have their own feeds, multiple low latency connectivity to exchanges, back testing systems and execution platforms and of course traders and internal IT dept n other folks ... Trading is done by either discretionary fund managers with huge portfolios or high frequency trading systems these days using possibly statistical arbitrage strategies ......Currently, most of the automated trading is based out of either US/Europe....Tho Banks have bases in different countries , I don't think there is much of automated trading..tho this is changing rapidly (I m talking about large volumes..also depends on products traded ..exchanges ..instruments...obviously connectivity methods driven by self interests of Stock Exchange business comes first ).... hence chances are traders tend to be discretionary in Asia and other parts...

I work for a stock exchange and them help build low latency infrastructure and solutions where technology is built with one purpose in mind - lowest latency possible between the exchange and Trader applications ( ...its usually depends on milliseconds to microseconds depending on solution offered ..) ....

The idea when it was bought was to try to develop systems on his own with experience he gained to build his own automated trading systems to be self employed....

I would love to give a go ..I don't have the time and my passions are different ... ....
