I wanted to share my full experience trading with GatesFX for anyone considering this broker. When I was looking for a new broker, I couldn’t find much solid feedback outside of Trustpilot and a few smaller reviews, so hopefully this helps other traders.
1. Spreads & Execution
One of the main reasons I tried GatesFX is because I scalp gold and indices, and spreads matter a lot. On my end, the spreads on gold (XAUUSD) and US30 were tighter than what I had with my previous broker, especially during London and New York sessions. Execution speed was decent I didn’t notice major slippage outside of big news events.
2. Withdrawals & Funding
This was the biggest test for me. My first withdrawal (a smaller test) hit my account in under 30 minutes, which surprised me. Since then I’ve made a couple more, all processed the same day. So far, no delays or excuses. Funding is also straightforward (crypto + cards).
3. Support
I’ve dealt with live chat a few times. They were quick to respond, though sometimes the answers felt scripted. That said, when I had a withdrawal question, it got solved within the same day, which is better than what I’ve seen elsewhere.
Pros & Cons (in my opinion):
Overall, I’ve had a positive experience with GatesFX so far especially compared to other offshore brokers I’ve used in the past. That said, I know every trader’s experience can be different, so I’d like to hear from others:
