so you have made $1 million and are showing the internet how to do the same.

if you have made a million go and enjoy it.

Hi Anna,
You've picked a good attention grabbing title for your thread! However, the content - thus far anyway - isn't quite what I (and others?) expected. A few points that you may like to consider:
1. You've put your thread in the 'First Steps' forum which, as the name implies, is aimed at new members - many of whom will be also be new to trading. For their benefit - and mine come to that - please keep it simple. You're only three posts into the thread and already you're trading futures, options and stocks - which isn't appropriate for many traders - novices or otherwise. Additionally, your OP says that you'll be daytrading but, by post 3, you appear to be swing trading?
2. There's no explanation of any kind as to your methodology and why you're taking each trade? In your OP you state that your goal "is to show you how to make a million dollars" which is great. However, just posting trades that you've done isn't especially interesting and not at all instructive. It doesn't show anybody anything of any value. Details of trades with clearly annotated charts is a must.
3. I note that you're a vendor. Cynics will argue that you're merely trying to drum up business for your training and coaching activities. If you offer really good material which is clearly explained so that members can understand your ideas and methodology - and you stay within site guidelines - then personally I don't have a problem with this. However, as things stand, you're liable to be dismissed as holy grail vendor, for which you can expect to receive considerable disdain from most T2W members, including me.
I hope you prove me wrong by addressing the points raised and manage to turn the thread around. But don't hang around: in spite of this being a community of traders, we're not noted for out patience!
Good luck and Happy New Year to you. ;)
Tim.

I totally agree with timsk with his analysis. (cant just rep him as I have to "spread it around" first.)

As a "First Steps", I was expecting a bit of education on the nature of options, especially as the time-decay is an issue, and was hoping to learn some insights into volatility and all that gamma and delta gubbins.

Not too bothered whether its day-trading or swing-trading.
As long as some reasoning is imparted, along with charts, then fine.
But just past calls doesnt help anyone understand the principles, and in so doing, doesnt help newbies to look for potential trades into the future. (bit like trader_dante, he started off with the principle, then gave a few trades, then other traders started to find trades by themselves. that would be a good template for any thread. )

Personally, not too bothered about you being a vendor.
Hopefully your thread can educate us into new trading insights.
Good luck.

Tim.

I will post charts etc. I am here to show others how to trade, share my ideas. When I started to trade years ago, nothing was available. I have seen so many traders lose so much $$$ and spend so much on classes, books, etc and still are losing. I will post my charts etc. I have other post on T2W, under QQQQ. Sorry, that you had to beat me up, without knowing how I trade. In order to settle this, I'll prove my point, and I will be declared the winner. Charts will follow. Cheers Anna

Cannot gt my charts up here, but they are posted at my blog,

Hi Anna,
I assure you I have no desire or interest in beating you up; merely to present the facts as I see them. If you're genuine in your desire to help others then you will, hopefully, take my comments as constructive criticism. If you take them on board, then this could well turn into a very popular thread. There are a number of successful threads in a similar vein that you might like to look at to see how others have gone about doing what you propose to do:

I knew there was an easy way to make a million dollars!! Thats quite a novel idea, selling when it crosses, I didn't think of that before. Thanks annaanna, learning loads from your great thread. Keep it coming.

I hear this is how Jim Simons runs the Medallion Fund.

Peston: "Mr Simons, you know, I'm sure we would all, you know, love to know the secrets behind your, you know, success."
Simons: "Well it's pretty simple Robert. Basically we have a bunch of screens in the office, with a sort of squiggly line on them, and when the line squiggles below halfway on the monitor, we sell. The rest of the time we spend either chortling or playing 'Sink the Bismarck' with '84 Bollinger."
Peston: "Thanks, you know, for your time."

Don't forget selling his guide to using the squiggly line to make millions for $99 LIMITED TIME ONLY!!!

Hi Anna,
If this thread is to work at even the most basic level, you're going to have to make some effort to help your readers. A link to your blog simply isn't good enough. You can't expect members to open this thread and then cross reference your shorthand notes here with charts in your blog. It's easy for you, but for someone who's not familiar with the way you work, it's anything but. Adding a chart to your post is simple, see the description in the attachment below. All I did was to hit the 'Print Screen' button on my keyboard and paste the image into MS Paint and save it as a jpeg file. If I can do it, you most certainly can too!
Tim.

Yes I was wondering what the starting capital was. Cos if it's $999,999 then it really isn't going to be much of an achievement.

Sorry, I did not know that I was not supposed to post in this forum. My trades will speak for themselves. It's amazing that some want to doubt others in such a short time. I am a darn good trader and only wanted to share. No one has to follow my trades with real money, just paper trade and learn the pattern on the stocks, markets etc. Many traders have contacted me from here asking questions etc. My time & dates will prove me right.

Anna
