If anyone's interested, "Market Trend" runs today in the 4.35 at Newmarket (currently 7/1, a good each-way price). I've even backed it, but that's my problem.
Sadly that was so, yes. It "challenged for the lead" about half-way round but weakened "1 furlong out" (I think that might mean one furlong from the end, but I'm not sure).
