Indian equity markets surged 2% this week with Nifty sustaining the 5300 level and
ending above 5300.

Nifty gained 116 points on the weekly basis while Sensex is up 372
points ending at 17834.

Nifty & Sensex extended the consolidation with modest gains in the week end.Indian equity market was in the consolidate state even at the end of the week but on the positive basis.

:idea:Nifty up 15.50 points to end at 5393 & Sensex up 45 points to settle at 17956.Nifty consolidated throughout the session lacking direction.

Euro markets were weak due to less than expected US & Euro economic data:
The European markets opened positive but were weak due to less than expected European trade balance. Dow futures were down 40 points as well.
