I saw this ad from ADVFN email.

It is obviously options-trading related. Search on T2W resulted in just three posts, 2 in same thread, but only made indirect references to Market Edge, so I am starting this new thread.

Has anyone been on the 2-day training ?
If so, how much was it, and was the training more than just going over basics ?
Was it useful ? Do you trade options / trade better, because of the course ?

I know this is yet another seminar, and they make their money from selling courses.
( the usual "I turned £40 into £4000 in 18 secs while I slept" )

But would it serve as a good introduction to options trading ?
Do you they a good after-sales service ?

I have no illusions that options require as much knowledge and training as anything else, so I am sceptical about their excessive claims, but I am looking to expand my knowledge into this instrument.

alternatively, are there any other options-basics courses available ?

( I have read up on strats, butterflies strangles, condors, delta, etc, but I think I need interactive time to test my knowledge / ability - a sort of tutor. )

Frankly I don't know why people go those courses or seminars which you have to pay for.

There are many free ones from exchanges like http://www.cboe.com/LearnCenter/default.aspx.

All that is necessary is just know the basics and apply them to the facts and rules, which is similar for whatever exchange products traded.

I remember LIFFE had the free options basics described on its website.
