LSE Historical Data

Hi everyone,

New to trading, getting to grips with Metastock 10 and seem to have my EOD data sources sorted out for ASX but i am having trouble sourcing Historical Data for the FTSE.

Can anyone suggest any good (free) source for historical data? I only need the last 12 months to get me going.

Yahoo do this for free. Here's the direct link to what you want:

FTSE 100 Historical Share Prices | ^FTSE | GB0001383545 | Yahoo! Finance UK

Just select the dates and click 'Download to Spreadsheet'.

Thanx for ur reply, do you know if there is a way of downloading the historical data for ALL the companies in say the FTSE100 or FTS250 at one time?

I see it can be done per company, but this is quite time consuming.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure and I don't think it could be done for free. I think you would have to pay for the convenience.
