Amazing this market. Eatontrade loses on the long side and in exactly the same market I lose on the short side!

I got away with it, I had stayed long with a stop at 7435 (ie under the morning range), pure luck with the CPI but I'm not complaining.

EDIT: Not giving it all back twice in 1 day though, stop now at 7485

Well done, at least someone is winning. I closed at 7516 as planned, 31 loss. Now out of the market whilst I re-work my figures.

Thanks. Do you have any views on where we go from here ? I have trendline resistance on my daily chart at 7528, but hourly and daily studies are a way of overbought and if we can get through there I think we could see 1.77 (in next day or so) ............ all IMHO of course

All I can say at the minute is the down leg I had been following has been negated. I won't get another signal really until 7623 area.

on 5-mins, seesm to be breathing.
worth a short-term short back to 475 or so ?

I've done it again. I am a trend-follower ( supposedly ), yet I feel the need to pick tops and bottoms.
( thought the 14:00 bar would hold )

Strange move today
cable shadowed euro almost pip for pip
Fine you say???
No!! Should be 1 1/2 pips to 1
Euro / Gbp reaching another important level 69.30
Next 69.50 then 70

just an observation:

messing about with Wealth Bulider.
even if you dont want to follow their rules completely, one aspect appears, at first glance, to be useful.

part of their set-up is:
on the hourly chart, have a 24-ema. ( essentially, a sort of lower-time-frame daily pivot ).
( to be pedantic, they use 28-ema to create a tunnel, but forget that )

they then add levels to the line. that is, they have a line 89-pips above the centre line, and another 89 ( -89 ) below the 24-ema centre-line.

then , observe the range of the cable as it wends its way.
cable seems to strike the outer-lines and then exhaust itself at the outer-lines, and takes a breather.

even if you dont believe in using EMAs or stuff, the outer-lines may help to identify profit-targets when trading the hourlies.

good trading today and have a good weekend.

No, they are very good traders, they broke the bank last week and out to the beach for a week of fun.

nahh!
they are good traders.
probably just got bored posting same old trades over and over again.

we need to spice things up every no and again by evaluating systems, as was done with camarilla and hans123.
( are there any other systems out there we can trash? :cheesy: )

or maybe they clubbed together and bought a copy of Market Matrix.
:cheesy: :cheesy:

Livermore was a good trader also, but he lost his account a few times.
