It's not difficult to check: 1. Who is the financial authority in the country they are operating.
2. Is the company authorised by this financial authority?

If this proves in the slightest manner to be difficult then do not deal with them in any way.

Come back to us in 6 months time when the 'very promising' stock they've sold you which has just produced a new vacinne for Malaria/hiv/cancer/cholera/ebola debuts on its IPO and you sell out for a great profit

Or maybe it was a new mining venture that was about to strike oil/copper/gold/uranium etc.

Whatever the case there's fortunes to be made by following people that you don't know who call you out of the blue offering you EASY MONEY!
