Notice Large Specs taking opposite positions to Commercials buying and selling. Where index at 100 indicates buying pressure and indicator at 0 indicating selling pressure.

This indicator is a proprietary indicator using data from the COT report released every Friday for the previous Tuesday.

Market Timing - Take positions on Friday that report is released or on following Monday.

Commercial buying in Oil increased this week as Commercial Gold buying eased out of their longs moving towards short positons suggesting an increase in Oil and Gold on the week of 13 July. Initial expectations indicate a move lasting at least 2-3 weeks testing the highs of 01-02 June

Commercial buying in Oil increased this week as Commercial Gold buying eased out of their longs moving towards short positons suggesting an increase in Oil and Gold on the week of 13 July. Initial expectations indicate a move lasting at least 2-3 weeks testing the highs of 01-02 June

As expected prices in Oil and Gold were up this week, providing some good opportunities for buying on Friday 10 July. Expect rally to continue for the near term as we approach end of July. Notice large speculators taking shorter positions in both oil and gold, suggesting they expect market to move lower.
