Hi guys,

Apologies in advance, this is not a request about a trading career. I've decided I prefer the analyst role rather than trading. Currently I'm working in IT (admin for HFT systems) in a large broker. We have a large research division that will eventually setup shop in Europe. At the moment it's only in the states. I would like to move in to an industry analyst position specializing in Technology since I have been working in this area for over 6 years. My background is a degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering. Since a MSc is too expensive at the moment I was thinking of going for the CFA instead and then trying to get a transfer at work to an analyst position (in 2/3 years). Would people recommend the CFA or would I be better off saving for a part-time masters? I know the workload in the CFA is huge and I would be prepared to put in the work.

Thanks!
