Statistically a tall order, 20 of the last 22 F1 races at Catalunya won from
first row.
Barring mechanical failure or qualy fuel load sand bagging, I go for Hamilton.
Now I've said that he'll probably go off at the first corner

:)Fair call however I expect DRS to skew the stats some what. Agreed though the race isn't known for overtaking.

Merc still rinsing the tires and Ferrari/Lotus look mighty on practice race pace.

I'm sticking to my guns:)

In the last 22 races from Spain the winner has always started in 3rd or higher on the grid. So if that continues then the winner will be Rosberg, Hamilton or Vettel.

That said, the tyres are having a huge impact on this years results so Alonso could be a possible.

Agree on the tyres, they are the potential weakspot for the stats case holding up.

Previous stats don't look to be influenced by DRS so much, maybe due to DRS detection zones being crap?

As you say and T333 said - tyres may well be key...

The whole F1 thing has become middle aged.
Let them start in reverse championship order at least or it's just a procession.

Not an unfair accusation it has to be said...
I'd reduce the aero influence, front wing should mean just that,
no additional aero parts on wings or body.
DRS maybe the exception.

Cars are so planted now they could drive upside down...
More opposite lock drifting like Gilles Villeneuve wouldn't go amiss.
Same with MotoGP - traction control on a bike - FFS...thats the main reason Rossi lost his advantage.

Too many petty fogging rules imo
I mean really - the tyre issues are ridiculous.
It's about winning - isn't it ?

Spanish GP up soon then. The two standouts from early season Sutil and Bianchi seem to have gone off the boil past couple of races. Anyway its tight at the top - Alonso or Raikkonen for the win. Stand out Qualy from Rosberg.
Merc and Redbull to fall back on Tire Deg.

Also worth noting the new GP3 car, some good racing.

Good shout :)
What did I say - Hamilton, 12th
Think I overestimated mercs tyre deg improvements a little bit...

Yeah I think Vergne had a de-lamination...
4 stops looked most popular overall.

MONACO BABY:cool:

I'm calling Webber for the win, outside shot but worth the punt.

Merc again
Seriously, I wonder if they can hold off the pack here - hard to pass.
Probably not, they will more than likely get hit by tyre deg again earlier than everyone else.

Think I'll go for Vettel...
Now watch a merc win

The usual procession I guess. I mean it's so difficult to pass unless the other guy has stopped. The first off the start line should win.

Europes best pick pockets and minor criminals use this wekkend to make lots of dosh. The girls will be busy. What a circus.
My friend's Dad used to live in one of those luxury hotels. Blew a fortune at the casinos.

Monaco snooze fest.

Strike this circuit from the calender for crying out loud.

I need me some BTCC to watch. Now that is exciting.

Close LV very. Good race and Nico played a blinder. At least Hamilton can console himself with a little bump and grind later.

Monaco will always have its haters but nothing else is like it and this years race was great.

How on earth can you say that was boring  no pleasing some

'Oh, just let me drop back from the car in front to help preserve my tyres because even if i'm faster I won't get past.'

If I want to watch things going round and round in circles and nothing else, I don't know, I could buy a couple of hamsters and have them run on wheels?

Little chance of overtaking. Very little strategy required. BS.

Tune in for Monaco 2014 I most certainly shall not.
