I know with IB its mainly phone support and webinars but I am just trying to get upto speed with the workstation. is there a way i can get shown demos real time. or i dont suppose i could ask anyone of you chaps who have used it extensively to show me - london based??

You can try to go with TradeStation also...they are similar to IB and they will let you do a free demo if you ask a sales rep.
