Improving on the present equity platform

Hi everyone, I am designing the UI of web based equity platform for my company. I am already aware that there are a lot of trading platforms in the market. Still, I am trying to improve on the present platforms and design something more interesting.

Is there anything that you would like to change/add in present platforms? It could be a new feature/visualization/information that could enhance your trading activities.

What should be the home screen(Dashboard)?
I was thinking of designing a screen: where the trader has all critical information on the first go. This even helps to initiate the critical tasks like shortlisting stocks, setting alerts, doing company research, etc.

Not many have the option to 'flip' the chart or invert it, surprising what you see when you look at the chart the opposite way round especially is you are pre-disposed to either trade short or long, in other words a bias - all of the time- to one or the other.
