First lesson: It's not "the forex". It's just "forex", or "foreign exchange", or "the forex market".

After that Baby Pips is a pretty good basic resource.

Yeah,i would agree whit Rhody.
I did not have slightest idea what is trading when i have started.Have gone trough Babypips school of pipsology.( Forex Training Online: Learn Foreign Exchange (FX) Currency Trading )When i look back now it was decent read.Few days ago i even gave printed version to mine friend who is interested to learn how to trade.
So you might give it a shoot..

The same reason as every other person who starts to trade.
He wants to fund a mission trip to save the starving children in Africa.

Just kidding.


That is actually a very good question that one should ask them selves BOFORE they start doing it.
That question followed by a honest answer from one's self can save all kinds of time and money.

For anyone who wants to start trading just remember that like anything else you want to be good at you will need three things to be successful.

1: An education
2: You will need to take action once you have your education.
3: You will need to get up and dust yourself off when you fail. Because you will. At first. As long as you stick to it and keep picking yourself up AND re-educate yourself with you new real life experience you will get better and then step four happens.
4:Success.

Agree. "Wanting to make money", in my opinion, is not a reason to learn trading forex. You have to look for a deeper goal in your life.
