How to make money with an EA?

Its been at least 48 hours since some bozo suggested reversing buy and sell signals on a non profitable EA ! 😆

I suppose he could trade it without a stop and wait until each trade becomes profitable, they always come back in you wait long enough 😆

Do you think there might be lulz to be had from selling EA's to muppets ?

i have recently came across an old muppet *educator*; who used to sell EA systems a couple of years ago. To my surprise; he is now teaching EA programming.

The only explanation I could think of is:
- the economy is so bad that punters are not buying EAs
- punters are getting smarter; but muppets are adapting. If they can't sell snake oil; they sell the snake.

let me answer your original question; EA means "automated system".

If you are doing well in discretionary trading; and you want to automate your trading; by all means; learn programming and start the journey of automated trading.

Buying one; is totally different story.

The bottom line in this thread is; if someone had a profitable EA; they will use it themselves; and not sell it.

I would say that 99.99% of systems on sale; do not work when you use them. There are however 0.01% systems for sale that do work; but you will have to learn how to be profitable trader (which takes few years); before you can judge a system if it is profitable. by that time; it is too late; you don't need to buy these systems any more!!

Unfortunately there are no shortcuts in this business. If you do take a shortcut; you will end up like Beavis and Butthead; in some weird neighbourhood.
