I would like to be able to perform basic technical analysis - moving averages etc - on UK pension funds.
Metastock sounds great as a software package but I does anyone know how I can obtain weekly price data for UK pension funds?
My research so far reveals that Trustnet do a weekly feed of pension fund prices, BUT a subscription would provide price data only from today. There would be no historical data from which to build charts.
Perhaps there is a way to obtain the historical price data separately and then use Trustnet and Metastock for ongoing charting?
MorningStar have the pension data but (as far as I can tell) their 'Advisor Workstation' software cannot offer moving averages and the like.
As members might gather, I am entirely new on this forum - I apologise for this rather rambling post but any help would be much appreciated!
