Guys im about to open an account with IB brokers but HATE their platform...apart from tradestation what front end could I use to route my trades through IB which has ok charts, is free and I can automate my trades?

You can hook IB brokerage with lots of third-party applications for the execution of trades;
For example -
I use to trade with IB through Esignal and it was pretty good...
Not good enough for 'fast trading' though...

So it depends on WHAT you trade and how.
