Has anyone heard of these new automated trading machines that "outwit" traders?

Traders, this market can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.

You mean bots with large accounts that manipulate price - that can fake patterns, move price to nearby S/R to trigger stops/limits, engineer specific candlesticks etc.? If so then yeah, that's what I would do if I was I charge of one of those things. If enough people trade on well-known patterns and put their triggers near obvious S/R then it's only a natural development. If people stop doing those things then they'll adapt accordingly.
