Google Chrome runs nicely with T2W

I've just installed the new Google browser "Chrome", and I've noticed that this T2W site loads ten times faster compared with IE or Firefox.

I recommend you all check it out!

If it loaded 10 times faster it seems likely that you experienced an anomaly. I just ran chrome against firefox twice and it is faster but only slightly faster with T2W (6 seconds ver 7 seconds and 6.5 seconds vs 7 seconds). Firefox may have gained by not having to render (display) any of the adverts because of Adblock Plus.

T2W is notoriously variable in its load speed - you might want to do your tests again.

The big downside of chrome at present is that it doesn't have adblock plus or the other firefox add-ons. However, if they could get rid of the adverts (it won't be google writing that bit of the software!) I think this will be a great addition to the choice of browsers.

Agree. nice & simple but too simple. can't disable / control cookies as far as i can tell. Can't see any real advantage over firefox so far.

Amend: ccokie menu hidden away - you can control them!

are google having a laugh or wot!

I won't be using chrome, what a donkey! really sloooow browser compared to ie, heavy on cpu usage, I'd go as far as saying it was complete and utter crap. reminded me of what ie used to be like compared to navigator.
