Would'nt mind seeing Half A Sixpence, Finian's Rainbow and The Man Who Would Be King again sometime soon. I'll wait untill there's a full house though. Honest.

Frugi, Usual suspects, Classic!

Hound of the Baskervilles- Basil Rathbone. For an old classic

Saw this good film few weeks ago, Wrong man.

Spirited Away (worth a try even if you don't normally like animation)

If you like Spirited Away you mustn't miss Princess Mononoke, probably the best animated film of all time, go see it to find out why.

I'm looking forward to Ratatouille to be out here. It's should be a right laugh. It's a film with a lot of heart, so Socco should find something in there for him.:cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:

Oh, and Transformers was amazing to watch for the special effects.

With all the Hollywood (and Bollywood too) movies around, why not give something else a try?

Last year I discovered the mesmerizing wonderful fantastic world of Miyazaki (the legendary Japanese animation director). If there is one movie of which I'd say it is a must-see it would have to be 'Spirited Away'. Original title: Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi, see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0245429/

The critics seem to agree with me, they've rated it the 9th best movie ever with a score of 94: http://www.metacritic.com/video/highscores.shtml

Not that you must ever rely on somebody else's opinion obviously Just go see it for yourself. It's beautiful in each and every aspect, it's got different layers of symbolism and it's really recommended for all ages.

That's what I was trying to tell Frugi. Actually I personally think Princess Mononoke is his best work, I am eagerly waiting for it to be out on Blu-Ray. It is one of those films that is best view on a very large screen.

One of my all time favourites is "Housekeeping" (based on the book by Marilynne Robinson). This film is shown on TV very rarely. I was mesmerized by it when I saw it accidentally in my youth. It's one of those films you see that you initially think nothing of, and the after the years (despite having viewed it only once) you remember it. I won't give the plot away, but it's basically about a crazy woman would couldn't keep house. To some that plot seems almost comically simplistic, but it just goes to show you don't need much to do something amazing.
