I think 1180 will be tested and breached before we try for 1200. Next target after that likely to be 1230-40. So expecting a short term bounce before we head back down again.
30-40? might not be that far. the power of oversell is almost released. Judging from the US economy and recent APEC. gold might won't go that high.

Well 1st of December should be an interesting day

I think seasonal factor with some speculative buying may take it up a notch. Overall certainly bearish but short term up-draft looking like a possibility.

Markets setting up for a big fall sooner or later. Not sure how this will impact gold.

Great deal of uncertainty either way so I'm expecting gold to bounce in the light of uncertainty.

Oil is falling but I'm thinking this is a double-whammy - demand fall and excess supply.

Not sure about things at all and gold at these levels. :whistling  :whistling

I am looking to start accumulating gold at these levels if they hold and lower if they do not. Strong dollar is definitely the flag here and how gold continues to react to it will be interesting, certainly do not see a reversal in the strong dollar trend any time soon. Last time I was in gold was a very long hold from 2001 to a slightly too early exit in 2011. When it comes to commodities been more in Ags and Energy than metals since then. One other thing I like to watch is the gold platinum spread, feel that platinum at a discount to gold is always a good long term play, just have to avoid too much leverage and scale in.
