Has anybody here used or currently using FuturesBetting platform. Do they have a minimum/maximum stake set up.

£5 to get your money out I see! :)

(I know, that's peanuts to a "pro", but even so...)

Cheers Mont,
I';d still like to give em a go, cos if they are tax free and reliable, its worth the £5.
One day when I get round to trading with them, I'll post a review. Its their lack of charts thats stopping me getting on with it.

Same here Glyder,

Ive been wanting to go with them for a while now but means me getting
an external charting and data company.

No offense guys but if if you can't afford £100 per month for a decent chart package then you prolly shouldn't be looking at ProSpreads.

Probably, although as some people were saying about it "it's the principle of the thing...".

You were looking at the FXCM demo. Have you decided not to give their live platform a go? It's certainly something I am considering. I don't think I can afford the minimum trade size for Prospreads, although it looks attractive for those who can.

It would be nice to see a side-by-side review sometime if anyone has used both for any length of time. I know they are not exactly comparable, but seem to have a lot in common. FXCM would appear to have a lower "cost of entry" and is perhaps suitable for the small trader trying to move up. (Albeit without a full-range of trading instruments I believe). Prospreads is appealing to the already "moved up" trader, I guess.

Not necessarily DB,

Most decent brokers now provide a charting platform these days and Prospreads
would do but they cant get (NT) it to link up so ive heard.
Im travelling in 3 weeks for 4 months so thats my reason not to want to pay.

Just out of intererest who would you look at for £100 a month who provides
the charting and data together and not where you have to p1ss about with
separarte charts amd add the data in.

Look, FB/ProSpreads are effectively a futures broker yes?
You trade futures but are leery about £100 pcm then you shouldn't be trading futures. Simple.

Not quite sure what you're asking in your second para.

Second para was about £100pcm for charting. Who you recommend........

I use Metatrader which is fine for my SB.

Now Prospreads (formerly FuturesBetting ) is supposed to be better than an ordinary SB company because it executes its customers' trades on the underlying market. We are told that it has no interest in seeing its clients lose (unlike most SB companies). The same goes for what appears to be its obvious competitor, FXCM. So far, so good, but I wonder if all is as good as it seems?

While I have seen some words of praise for them both on here, as far as I can see, we haven't been inundated with people saying how wonderful either of them is. They don't get mentioned as often as some other names we could mention (admittedly a lot of those mentions aren't particularly positive).

Please don't be shy Prospread (or FXCM) fans. I'd like to hear from you, especially if you moved there from a conventional SB firm.

I use Pro Real Time charting with Futures Betting. The app it self is Java based so doesn't require software to be installed. It sounds a bit flaky but in reality it is a very good and a solid package. The fact that’s its Java based allows it to run on any OS (I run it on Linux) with out Admin rights so it’s very flexible to where it can be used.

It’s also very well priced.

£5 for getting money returned to my bank account is not expensive at all, that means i have made some money or not blown my deposit. Reagrding the charts this has been going on for a while, but i use ProRealtime and find them very user friendly and not to costly.
