I have just had my account approved with futuresbetting.com and I am yet to fund my account. Is a bit worrying that their site can get hacked, what other information can these hackers get hold of?

The site seems ok now though.

No it's not OK it's still there. 2/3 of the way down the page. They have been clever to make it look the same as the rest of the site. (have attached screenshots here)

FuturesBetting have the best concept among the SB frims. No requote and fully hedge, neutral party. With all the good publicity by all the forum members here the other firms might get jealous. Hence some hired attack? UKTradegirl you are famous now . Anyway they should strengthten their website. Another reason I don't like web platform.

Tbh if the only thing the hackers were able to change was that one frame then I'd say FB's security is pretty good.

If you look at the reply, they say a secure web page is going to be implemented, but if you click on the "click here to apply online" button, it still does not go to a secure ( HTTPS) web page

a little worried now.

I'd also like to know how the said hacker managed to find that sum of money in my account to lose in the first place. One of the advantages of having a small amount of capital is that it makes it impossible to lose that kind of money. (unless one of my stops didn't get implemented, hehe)

I'm of the opinion that an HTML page is fairly easy to hack if you know what you are doing. However, an application which runs off the server and client sides is very difficult to get into. It would be protected by firewalls, encryption, SSL and other industry standard security layers. Not only that, hacking an application on your own desktop computer is extremely hard to do - so imagine how difficult it is to hack a server remotely with all the security on top.

Therefore, I wouldn't worry too much as their website will be completely separate to their trading platform. I'm not saying they are 100% secure because nothing is - but they should be as secure as everybody else.

I spoke to FBC yesterday as I have an account with them. I am told that the part of the website with the flahing message is seperate from the main website, hence it was the only part that was hacked as the hackers were unable to get past the security which protects the rest of the site.
Also i was told what Jaydee has said above.
Maybe they are getting too successful and someone is not too pleased!! So an attempt to discredit them?
I will NOT be moving my account because I still think the platform is streets ahead of the rest.
