Hello,
Has anyone purchased the fulcrum trader (same named website) cumulative delta course? Im curious if it's worth the price.
Thanks
Hi Chris,
I did their course back in 2010 when it was run by Christopher Koozekanani. If you've not yet seen it, there's an interview with him that Trader333 conducted some years ago:
Interview with a Market Delta Trader.
In your post, you ask the question: "is it worth the price?" Back then, it was, IMO. I thought the video material was pretty comprehensive and well explained. It pretty much did what it said on the tin. However, had you asked whether it made a substantial impact to my PnL, the answer would be no. That said, be honest, that's entirely down to me and doesn't reflect on the quality of teaching or materials provided on the course. Like any course, it won't magically turn you from an unprofitable trader into a profitable one. For some traders it could improve their edge, for others it could dilute what they already have.
There is an obvious downside to the course in that to use cumulative delta, you'll need high end data and a bespoke charting package to plot it. I used InvestorRT which I have to say is by far and away the best package I've ever used (and I've used both TradeStation and eSignal in the past) - but it doesn't come cheap. Of course, this is five years ago, so I've no idea what the course is like now or what today's costs are for data and charting software.
The one residual impact of the course is that Chris was obsessed with Renko charts and I started using them accordingly and have used them ever since.
Tim.
