So now we know why the FTSE 100 is actually the FTSE 101 - sorry I know it's a bit of an anoraky thing to have asked, but I was curious to know:

There are only 100 companies included in the FTSE 100. However, one company
(Schroders) currently has two lines of stock, making the number of
constituents 101. For more details on the eligibility criteria for
secondary lines of stock, please visit
http://www.ftse.com/rules2/uk_rules.doc, and refer to section 4.4.
