Excel help - moving average

Calling all Excel gurus!

I have a column of numbers which I wish to calculate an ongoing a moving average for.
Which formula do I need to use to calculate it?
The AVERAGE only seems to calculate for the whole column, I want to be able to have an average in each cell as the worksheet fills up.

Try this:
=AVERAGE(a1:a20) for 20 period simple ma of cells A1 to A20
I've no idea how to do EMAs though!

Then drag down for each cell as required

Yes thanks, I had a moment of madness - I was trying to work out a 10 period MA with less than 10 numbers!!
