Hi,
I would like to ask two things about eminis:
1. Position pyramiding. Currently I trade two slots of one emini instrument. My strategy is, I will close half when the price reaches my first target, and then let the remaining half run until the end of the trend.
However, if the trend is rather strong, like the fall in eminis this morning , is it a good idea to re-enter the half position I have closed in an entry point with a reasonable R/R, e.g. the end of a pullback, so as to capture the volatile movements in a full position? Or does such thinking fall into the trap of greed?
2. Time+Sales information. Suppose there is a down trend in the market at the moment. A trade in large quantity occurs, which I assume is the big boys's activity.
If the price continues to fall, can I assume the trade is the big boys' getting into a position or taking profits, depending on the phase of the trend?
If the price continues to fall a bit, then begins to pause and bound back, can I assume the trade is the big boys' covering their shorts or even entering into longs, which indicates the price is likely to pause or even reverse?
Many thanks indeed.
