Does IB $25k rule apply to futures trading?

Planning on trading futures such as Mini Dow and GBP but If i put in less than $25k in an IB account will i be able to do more than 3 trades per 5 days? Or would i be considered as a day trader and therefore have to put in £25k? Im a bit confused on this rule.

No....pdt ( $25000 rule) applies only to shares
