Consider Hypnosis For Trading?

A freind of mine who is a Pro trader used hypnosis to make him a better trader, by taking fear out of hes mind, he said it helped greatly, some traders get fear because of past bad experiences.
Have you tryed it or consider it?
How did you get over your fear? I recall it was costly for him.
If you trade and trade with better trading resuits, you can get over your past bad experiences with pure confidences in your mind.

LPC, my mam amongst her various talents is a qualified hypnotist (more or less as a hobby while doing more respectable medical work) and so when I was younger I took the opportunity to read through quite a few of her books... my main conclusion is it might work for you but only if you are capable of sorting it out for yourself. It may point you in the right way I guess. But don't expect it to perform any miracles.

Interesting idea though. I may do some self hypnosis this weekend and see what happens, although I find having no testicles when it comes to fear to be mostly an advantage.

I voted Hmm. Two mates of mine tried it as an aid to quitting smoking. One stopped (5 years) after only a handful of sessions, and the other smokes more than ever. So i don't know.

Well, this is my first post, and will introduce myself in another post.
I am using selfHypnose every day with what i call ‘my Trading HypnoPlan”.
I use an “induction” i found on internet (i took a self hypno tape and cut the begening “induction” to use it). After the begening of the tape (when i am under hypnose) i’ve added my own tape where i teach to my right brain hemispher (the worst for a trader, lol) to leave my left hemispher to follow my trading plan. I also work on fear, greed, ans so on.
And every day when london traders are going out for lunch, and before NY open, i do my self hypnose...

Many years ago I had hypnosis to stop smoking. I got to the gate before I lit up my next cigarette. Cost about £2 a yard , you're either susceptible or you're not.

I also practice a hyno plan to trade..I tell my left butt cheek to leave my right butt cheek to manage proceedings.
