Cmc markets - is this allowed?

i am experiencing the same problem with cmcmarkets

can cmcmarkets or any spread betting company speak directly to your bank about any particular issue? is that allowed? what about privacy and confidentiality etc..?

Only if it is a transaction they are directly involved in as a counterparty. But yes, they can contact them directly if that is the case without your knowledge or consent.

Because they are the other side of th transaction they can request any information relating to that transaction alone. No they cannot request specific account details..such as other transaction amounts/ frequency or your balance etc...
