CMC/IG squabble

Interesting find nautical….

There’s been some speculation on other threads about increased competition amongst SB’s resulting in reduced spreads, apart from false advertising claims…..

When I read that IG founder, Stuart Wheeler, has just bought Chilham Castle in Kent for circa. £25million and is embarking on a multi-million refurb, I have another theory…..

They are making so much from the spreads and losing punters, that they will risk making any number of false claims knowing how gullible many of their potential clientele are……..

Hopefully having been caught out will provide a reality check…….

Wheeler's had Chilham Castle for yonks - he had it well before he donated £5m funds to politics, I believe.
 
It depends upon what you mean by yonks.

Stuart Wheeler certainly didn't own the castle 10 years ago (he lived in Clapham).

I think he bought the castle after IG was floted on the market...so fairly recently.
 
I hear that he's thinking about donating another £5m to the T2W Xmas bash fund.......

he can afford it (allegedly).........! :LOL:
