hi,

I need some help choosing an online broker. I intend to be mainly trading stocks and perhaps some ETFs. Mostly for the medium to long term. The following are important to me:

1) i live in the uk and want my uk company to hold the account.
2) I would appreciate if my main long term account also allowed sub accounts so i can do some day trading.
3) Looking for flat fee trades as I hate hidden charges. And as low as possible.
4) An easy to use trading platform with real time quotes and data would be ideal.
5) customer service should be good too. by the way do brokers charge if you move money from your bank account and vice versa. IF so, are there any that don't?

I have looked up the following Zecco, Trade king, e trade, scottrade, td ameritrade, think or swim..

most have mixed reviews...but do any of them tick the boxes above?

thanks for the help

Also,

6) if the broker account also allowed you to put money in a cash deposit to earn interest? does this exist?

I selected some points which you must keep in mind while selecting a good broker
Comparing FX trading brokers
Average offered
Minimum deposit required
Amount/type of commissions charged
Spreads for major currencies
Availability of mini Forex accounts
Availability and quality of demo currency trading account
Number of currency pairs offered
Try demo accounts
See the demerits of the broker as well...

Well all you need to select a broker which suits your trading style
For an example I always look for scalping and not all the brokers
Allow to use scalping strategies so I chose a broker which allows me to scalp...

thanks jeff, what broker do you use for scalping?

I moreso want to buy stocks whilst the market is at a low for my longterm portfolio. so any suggestions for a stockbroker?
