I've put up a new website <http://www.howsafeisyourmoney.co.uk> which intends to help you work out whether all your savings are 100% covered by the FSA guaranteed £35,000.
For example, if you have savings with both the Halifax and the Birmingham Midshires, then they are in fact covered by the same FSA registration number, and therefore you are only guaranteed 35k across the combined savings you have with them.
The site is still in beta mode, and I'd welcome any comments, constructive criticisms, or suggestions for enhancements.
