cheapest TS setup

Hello All,

I want to set up tradestation for the cheapest cost possible, does anybody know how to do this? I believe you can download a old version for free or something and use an external data provider for minimal cost? does anybody know the way to do this?

Any of the newer versions will not allow you to run without being a subscriber as they will periodically require you to login to continue usage. The newest one that would allow you to continue running would be a version of 2000i. I would have to say if you are downloading it for free from someplace then it would be an illegal version. Tradestation offers trials and such where a person can take a look for free for a period of time if you were just wanting to see the product.

Depends on what you are using it for. If you just want to do backtesting then, you can use 2000i, Multicharts, or older TS.
