Charting heart rate

Ok, a strange request, but basically I have a machine that monitors heart rate and beeps for each heart beat. Using a microphone or attaching this to my computer, is there any software I can use to chart this activity?

Realtime or delayed ? If it is delayed then what you need is something that would convert the sound into an ASCII file which could then be charted in Excel.

realtime, although if I could get data to computer and do delayed charts that would be an ok solution.
