Hey,

New to the forum and new to trading UK shares, my question is simple do u have any recommendations as to good (and cheap I should say) firms which I can trade online with. Also a simple question stocks on the ftse 250, are they in listed in pence or pounds. Thanks,

If you want to trade UK shares only then hard to beat Hoodless Brennan online - £7 a trade.

UK shares are usually quoted in pence.

you may want to try spreadbetting companies and CFD providers for leverage and ability to go short - depending on your trading style and time horizons
